The Gulf nations are going through a difficult period today. The challenges they face remind us of how fragile stability can be in regions where history and geopolitics are intertwined in a complex knot. We express our solidarity with the GCC countries: Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
But we want to say something more. In moments like these, the true value of those on the front line becomes clear. The defence forces and emergency services in the region are doing work that commands the highest admiration.
Stability is never guaranteed; it must be nurtured every single day. We respect those who serve, and express solidarity with those who need support today.
