Mentoring

October 8, 2025

Have you ever wondered what will remain after us? In architecture, the answer is tangible. Buildings endure longer than we do, bearing witness to our vision and way of thinking.

The extension of that vision in people is mentorship.

Along my journey, I have had the privilege of mentoring a young architect who was awarded the honour of Middle East Young Architect of the Year by Middle East Architect magazine. I have mentored others who have gone on to start their own successful businesses.

This is not just their success - it is proof that sharing knowledge and experience shapes the future of our profession.

Architecture has never been a solo endeavour. Behind every project is a team of people, passion, teamwork and - compromises. Our buildings remain as a testament to our collaboration, and our experience - passed on to younger generations - becomes part of their story.

Mentorship is an investment in the people who will take up the baton after us, allowing our vision to endure in ways which we ourselves will never see.

We are here only temporarily. The buildings and the experiences we leave behind speak of us most profoundly.
