Mecanoo’s Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi blends into the desert landscape like a rocky massif, and its pentagonal geometry evokes cellular structures - the kinds of patterns we recognise from nature. Water, vegetation and hanging gardens form part of a story about survival in a harsh climate.
