Looking beyond sustainable design, nicholas always strives to create urban environments which contribute positively to the biosphere. This means not simply “keeping things as they are” – which “sustainability” implies – but making a real difference.

We advocate for integrated development, which is created by vertically stacking an imaginative mixed-use programme above transport infrastructure such as rail and light rail.

Developing at intensity creates symbiotic “hubs” which strengthen both the built environment and its transportation links – internal and external. The symbiosis is both social and economic.
